The days of the lunch wagon trucks are far from forgotten. Especially here in Hawaii, this tradition is kept strong. There are countless different brands to choose from, and all of them are generally delicious. The newest trend in this traveling style of food has been to circle the wagons and have a festival. The last two events such as this were held in Kaka’ako. According to KHON News, the first drew 1200, and the second 3000 people. These are staggering numbers.
The masses have spoken and their message is clear. They want more. Those who missed the other festivals are in luck as well as those who visited and enjoyed the food and fun. On April 9th at Kaka’ako Waterfront Parking Lot, The Hawaiian Lunch Wagon Festival will take place from 10am-4pm. There will be rides , games, vendors, and of course there will be delicious food. This event will set the bragging rights for this years best lunch wagon in Hawaii.
